Christmas Eve
Well it's Christmas Eve and I'm very excited! Not only because tomorrow is Christmas day, but also because our snowboard/ski holiday is ever so nearly here!
I was looking through some photo's and decided to share my favorite from the past year
Carina and Sam's Wedding day
A shot I got from using a strobe light
Coalition club night in Brighton

A start, yo!
So I am the other contributor to the blog; I am Tom... Hi
I thought as a starting point I would put up some self-initiated work I have done.
The first piece is an illustration I have done responding to self-portraits and the reasons behind producing them. I have tried to capture the vanity, honesty and insecurity that all contribute to a self portrait.
This is self-portrait:
My second piece is an idea for a book cover looking at peoples dreams and aspirations through design and illustration. I just wanted to have a simple, eye-catching design that had a clear message:
Really pleased with the outcome for both pieces of work!

New blog thing ya'll
This is a little introduction to our new blog.
This is the logo we had to use:
I was trying to keep the idea subtle which obviously worked as my tutor didn't spot it at first glance. Unfortunatly i wasn't able to find the same font used in the logo, so had to bodge it a bit!
The main idea behind the blog is a way of sharing things that interest and influence us, and also somewhere to show things we have been up to. Instead of doing a personal one I thought it would be cool to do a joint blog which hopefully should make it alot more interesting!
Anyway. Currently I am finishing off some projects for uni which is going quite well. One of the projects is to do three student magazine concepts.
Here is one of the covers i have been working on with my group:
Yesterday one of my tutors 'Martin' stopped me in the corridoor to talk about my last project. He said that during the crit we had he diddn't understood what i had actually done, and now he has had a better look he really liked it. I was really pleased to hear this as he didn't seem very interested during the actual crit.
This is the logo we had to use:
We then had design a change of address card.
This was my solution:
